Profile
Dr. Hassan obtained his PhD in the Hebrew language and Jewish Studies from The University of Manchester. He continued on to lecture there at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Dr. Jafar Hassan has also lectured at McGill (London programme) and Salford Universities. He is the director of the Arabic Language Centre.
He has authored numerous papers on a variety of subjects related to Jewish Studies, and is an author of three books in this field. He has also presented at a number of institutions, including the University of Oxford,, and the House of Commons.

- Hebrew language article for the Encyclopaedia of Islam (Turkey). Volume 22.
- Three books published on Jewish Studies (in Arabic). on two others.
Some of his recent supervision includes:
