English for Academic Purposes
Course Description:
Introduction: This course has been designed for international students who want to develop more confidence in both their English language and academic learning skills. Taught in small classes of up to 15, this interactive course will help students boost their confidence in academic use of English. This course is expected to be developed as a ‘learning-through doing’ course in which students will have an opportunity to show what they can do and learn to improve their academic performance through doing. At the end of the course students will have completed a ‘Personal Development Plan’ (PDP) which will guide them in their future independent learning activities. The course also features an online component which will provide further opportunities for independent learning.
