What are the fees for your courses?
Our A-level courses are offered free of charge subject to conditions.

What are these conditions?
The A-level courses are offered in a joint venture with College of North West London to all eligible students under the government educational scheme. As such the normal conditions apply such as being under 18 when starting the course and being a home student.

Who is eligible to study A-levels at the Islamic College?
Everyone can apply to the College, regardless of religious affiliation. However, students are expected to abide by the College regulations and meet the entry requirements.

May both boys and girls apply?
Yes, as previously stated. However, although ICAS is not a gender-segregated college, male and female students sit apart and are required to abide by the College code of conduct.

What are the entry requirements?
Five GCSE passes A*-C which should include English & Maths

  • Grades B+ in the corresponding subject for Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Arabic, or Persian
  • Grades B+ in English and Maths for: Economics
  • Grades B+ in English for all other subjects
  • An internationally recognised certificate of proficiency in English (overseas students) - equivalent to GCSE English grade A*-C

What is the entry exam?
Every applicant is required to take a short, GCSE standard test in English, Maths and Islam. Students applying to study the sciences and/or English Literature are required to take a test in the chosen subjects as well. Other subjects may have an entry test to assess comprehension, analytical and evaluative skills.


What are the rules and regulations of the College?
Please refer to our College policy. A copy will be posted to UK applicants at their request.

Is there a dress code at the Islamic College?
Although the College do not have a specific uniform, a clear dress code is specified in the College policy.

Are all A-Levels actually taken at the Islamic College?
Primarily yes, but as all courses are provided in collaboration with the College of North West London, some courses may occasionally meet at CNWL.

Are A-level Islamic College students considered as CNWL students?
Yes, and as such they are eligible to use all of the facilities of both colleges.

Do you run GCSE classes?
No, CNWL has some GCSE’s but none at the Islamic College.

Do you have to take Religious Studies as an A-level to attend the Islamic College?
No, but it is recommended to take an AS in RE (Islam).
